First Fight
Last night I've officially became a GRX Hoops Ministry committee member. What's there not to love combining both basketball and God. So I'm excited about this as well as looking forward to serve God through this ministry. Let me be one among many who give a shout out to Euge for believing in me and bringing me onboard in the first place. Dude you know you lead through your quiet examples...as testified by wuboy and drew. Definitely looking forward to this.
Aside from being welcomed into the committee and having a wonderful meal at Mark's place it was refreshing to have all the guys shared both struggles and praises, all for the glory of God. So taking this initiative I would also like to share my struggle with my new relationship with my girlfriend and specifically time management.
Anyway I'm the type who are almost always late on our dates as well as when we decided to get together. No denying about that there. But through the grace of my friends in the past I have always gotten away with this. In other words my friends don't care enough to confront me with it.
Sandy on the other hand has a right to confront me about it and it brings up something that I don't want to work on or ask God to help me grow in that area. I don't know what it is—stubborness, pride, selfishness—that is so hard to face. Yeah so it's our first fight and please pray for me to be sensitive when it comes to time management, balancing a new girlfriend with my walk with Christ, communication and being able to express myself even when I don't feel like it, as well as pray that God will help us patch things up.
Ummm I don't know what it is about relationship but they are very consuming, overwhelming, complex, etc. But in the end it is all worth it as it's all about relationship with each other and with our significant others.
Did anyone catch the Warriors last night? The last 4.4 seconds in OT against Seattle when B. Davis took that three point shot to win it! Love them Warriors!

anyway. yay! congrats! a new core member for the hooops ministry.
and yay! a first fight! fights are good. as long as there is mutual respect.
DREW: I think Euge shared last night about giving praise to God that both you and Wuboy told him that meeting him has bring them closer to God. I dunno you have to ask him what that meant. But he was like, "huh? you know me I'm not [evangelestic]." so yup quiet examples vs. being front-and-center about God.
Yeah we are not at the point of throwing things at each other. Pray that it will reconcile. This relationship thing is very gray matter...not at all black and white. haha.

Uhhh...I know a blog is all about your personal insights/opinions/events but some things should be 'private'. Your significant other might appreciate it...just my opinion.
