Post VDay
Don't really have time to go into the details but yesterday was lets just say fiasco-like. I blew it simple as that. Sands know what a "gosh-idiot" guy I was yesterday.
That bares repeating: Gosh IDIOT!
Actually on another note does any guy feel like a chump during Vday? Like its a big competition for the girls to see whose got the biggest bouquet, gifts, chocolate? For another take on the crazy-stress and the gnawing feeling of inadequacies generated by some unknown little "holiday" that was yesterday go here
As an explanation I told her why can't every day be Valentine's day? Sands has forgiven me. Thank goodness she got an offer letter from Guidant this morning so that's GREAT news. (Whew I'm somewhat off the hook. I'll make it up to you Sands!)
Okay now that I fessed up to you the general audience I feel somewhat better about it. Let's move on.
The UP-DOWN Report
- Personal Finance: UP. Really have been consumed (of the unhealthy variety) on personal finance. And to think my brother Kevin is a CFA for Ameriprise and I am really bypassing his service. (Hope he is not reading this. =P) I would like to take a break from this, though. God help me.
- Ministry: DOWN. Kids Zone had one kid last week. I'm not going to Kids Club today. Looking forward to redesigning the GRX hoops website.
- Work: UP. Spend most of yesterday working on a survey for my CEO. After FOUR! versions later, he was a satisfied customer. Still that was an all time high on anxiety for me. "When Constantin wants something done, you drop everything and get it done." (From Rich Engineering Manager Apps Group.) Okay! haha.
- Extracurricular: UP. Getting back into noontime swimming again. It's my mini-vacaction. Niece playtime: Up. Consistent playtime. With Lauren and Sands. Lauren so adorable..."Where's Georgie? Nerhome. Where's Noah? Nerhome. Where's Lisa? Nerhome. (Georgie, Noah, Lisa is a monkey, of the Ark fame, and Hello Kitty respectively). Good times, good times.
- Spirituali walk: DOWN. I have been struggling in this area. Please pray for more consistency in QT and prayer times for me as well as for Sandy and myself to pray as a couple.
How is everyone doing? How was your Valentines? What did you do? Me I got a nice cardigan and the sweetest card from Sands. I'm the luckiest guy! I'm a gosh-idiot!
Two more days til Friday. Woohoo!!! (Does anyone have Monday as a holiday?)
I've re-read your post a couple of times and I still don't understand what "gosh-idiot" means.
Of course, I have Monday off...everyone should. In fact, everyone should have more holidays and we should start campaigning for 6 hour workdays, to boot!

6 hour work day, I wish. Don't get every other Friday off also. Rub it in why don't ya. We don't get holiday at work. The next one is Memorial day. boohoo.
