Knot2Us? Q& A

Why is it called Knot2Us?

Well we needed a name to get going. Just kidding. The unofficial version is that if you imagine a knot it usually stretches on both end while the middle is knotted tightly. The official version is much like that:

Connecting with God by reaching out through our communities and to each other, thus growing stronger, like a knot being pulled tight.

But wait there is more to this name...

Our name also comes from a beloved passage in the Book of Psalm...Psalm 115:1 to be exact. Don't worry we won't quiz you or ask that you memorize the verse...most of the time.

Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.

Oh it's also a pretty good Chris Tomlin song, “Not To Us”.

Where do you meet and what time?

We meet every Thursdays at 6:30PM close to downtown Mountain View. We usually average about 10 people every week and we are about 40% female 60% males. Our age ranges from mid 20's to early 30's.

+ Dinner from 6:30-7:30PM
+ ice breakers/worship 7:30-8
+ studying from 8-9:30PM
+ dessert after the study

Who can join The Knot2Us Community?

Anyone who considers themselves part of the GRX community can come and check us out. Just e-mail us and we'll send you an invitation. Others not from GRX may also come to visit.

What do we do with this blog?
What should we post on this blog? We believe that our members would like to share their views and insights about God and community. We'll have archive of past entries (events | activities | studies | discussions | comments). All posts are encouraged—share ideas, thoughts, prayer requests, fun and social events, resources, what our pets are up to at the moment. Well maybe not the pets part.

Can I upload files & photos?
All photos should conform to these dimensions if possible, with a width of 320px. Don't worry if not I will try to resize it and reupload it. Files are also uploadable to be shared, although as of this time umm I don't know that feature, yet. :)

Can we talk about the design?
Of course. We welcome all feedbacks and suggestions and are more than welcome to implement them. If anyone would like to help out with the redesign just post entry under Group Survey.
