Fall Launch Fiesta
And a lot of work we did. Laughters, crazy conversations, crawling on all fours, taking naps, hot gun glueing, more crazy conversations...we all became designers, copy editors, and resourceful arts & crafts artists. The project took on a life of its own after the initial drawing, which evolved into something more elaborate and grand.
Lights, Camera, Knot2Us
After spending quite an amount of due diligent (with our combined expertise: scrapbooking, glueing, creative use of med equipments, etc.) the cores presented our poster at the GRX Fall Lauch booth—one among twelve other booths there. Here are my thoughts on the overall poster.Shape: A simplified design that changed initally from floating satellite-knots to the more organic free-flowing knots meeting in the center—drawing attention to the center group picture. Seven floating boards consisted of individual letters that spelled K-N-O-T 2 U-S, with each letters stating the minor missions of the group.
Detail: Seven knots tied together into the center represent our close-knit community, coming together as a group that is closely bonded, like that of a knot. The knots are double-figure eight knots. Rock-climbing afficiondos will know what I'm talkin' about.
I am proud of our efforts and the feedbacks that we got from people looking at our poster. It definitely was fun and gave the cores an opportunity to fellowship and grow closer.
Jerusalem Lions Defeats Galailee Goats
Another great game last night. Jimmy after playing our game last nite says, "Now at least I can say I played with the legend." The legend being Darryl, our Div I rock-solid player that I ahrem*drafted*ahem...in the second round.
The long & short of it: This team never seize to amaze me...I know we'll do well.
Now to get my much needed R&R.
Great JOB K2U!! MIke.. thanks for all ur enthusiasm... its makes all the difference in the world when working those crazy late hours!!
