Can You Hear Me Now?
So we were leaving Pho Hoa after lunch last Sunday Lauren driving, Jimmy in the passenger seat, Sands, Ray, and myself in the back. I forgot who made the first comment (Ray?) but here's how it went down...
Sandy: Yeah Pho Hoa does stink up your clothes.
Ray: Oh yeah. I don't know why you guys eat at that place. It's not worth it. Oh sure it's convenience and cheap but these smells don't come off. [Exasperated] Even after washing it, I would still be able to smell it. I have to take it to my dry cleaner now.
Jimmy: Then you have to take into account gas while driving to the dry cleaner.
Me [whispering]: It's alright guys.
Ray: Its the same thing with Korean food.
Lauren [catching on]: I think it has to do with frying something, or barbequeing something.
Sandy [proudly]: Yeah. Chinese food doesn't smell.
Ray: Yeah except for Chinese food. Chinese food don't smell.
Jimmy: Well just be glad that we're all Chinese here then.
Me: This reminds me of a Jerry Seinfeld episode. We just spend the last five minutes talking about nothing.
Lauren [pumping one hand in the air]: You know what I don't understand is that why do the audience who watch his show keep chanting his name, "Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!"
Me: Huh?!?
Sandy [whispering]: I think you mean Jerry Springer and not Jerry Seinfeld.
Lauren [catching on]: Oh Nooooooo!!!
Jimmy [turning towards Lauren]: Okay I have to talk to you afterward about the difference.
Lauren: This says two embarrassing things about me. One that I admit to watching Jerry Springer and two that I didn't know the difference. Oh please don't tell Alin about this. I'm only watching because my dad watches it and I watch it along with him.
except i left out jimmy from the story...whoops!

i don't know how lauren's intellectual reputation can recover from this...esp. now that it's appearing on sandy's, mike's and my blog (tomorrow). hehe.

That's weird, the RSS feed I'm getting has you posting about the story twice...
One titled: "Take the Jerry Quiz." and this one titled: "Can You Hear Me Now?" what gives?

ANDREW: (geekspeak ahead) i usually tricked the system by publishing in the past where the RSS feed won't be picked up. yesterday i accidentally published in the future. haha. entitled "Take the Jerry Quiz". Then I decided I like the current title instead. Freakin' RSS feeds. =) How are things Drew?
SANDY: At least we won a bowl game. Haha. That was for mongolian_deathworm. Oh and now I have to do my "dance" after your post. boo!
